CRAIG Thomson is expected to reiterate his innocence and asked to be judged by the legal system, not a kangaroo court, Parliament when he made the statement in a long-awaited home around noon, according to a Government Whip Joel Fitzgibbon.
Mr. Fitzgibbon, who has kept in close contact with Mr Thomson-suspended from the ALP and now sits on the crossbench-says he is set to inform the home he has been a member of the local well and he should be allowed to continue this work, retaining the right to vote in Parliament. He also hoped that Mr. Thomson will once again declared his innocence and says this should be tested ” by the legal proceedings that are normal and are not charged the HOUSE-cum-Court ”, Mr Fitzgibbon told The Age.
As labour braced itself for the next installment of Thomson, the Government seized on the allegations that controversial Liberal Senator Bill Heffernan made homophobic attacks on the Liberal Party’s staff suspended for meeting in the central coast of NSW.
News Ltd papers reported that Ray Carter, 67, has filed a complaint claiming the Senator Heffernan hit him in the left shoulder and abused him for being gay, says: “I didn’t know you poofter. ” Mr. Carter makes a statement and statutory claims supported by statutory statements from two witnesses, the report said. NSW police confirmed an overnight investigation is underway.
